What's new

I'm building Blether in the open. Here's what's shipped recently, what I've changed my mind on, and what's coming next.

Schedule list view

ScheduleQuality of life

Your schedule now has a list view. Toggle between the calendar and a simple list grouped by day. Filter by upcoming or past sessions, or narrow it down to just the ones that still need a note or an outstanding invoice.

The "outstanding notes" card on your dashboard now links straight to the list view with the right filter applied. One click and you can see exactly what needs writing up.

Small fix: creating a session without picking a format (in-person or online) no longer throws a confusing error. It just defaults to in-person.

Signup and verification fixes

AuthReliability

Some email providers (Outlook, Gmail) were previewing the verification link before you clicked it, which used up the one-time code. By the time you actually opened the link, it had already expired. Fixed this so the code only gets used when you actually visit the page in a browser.

If your verification link does expire, there's now a "Resend verification email" button on the error page instead of a dead end.

Payments & invoicing

PaymentsInvoicing

You can now connect a payment account and accept card and bank payments through Blether. When a session completes, an invoice generates automatically. Your client gets an email with a pay-by-card link. If they haven't paid after 3 days, Blether sends a gentle reminder on your behalf.

Built this because every therapist in research said the money conversation is the worst part. You shouldn't have to bring up a missed payment five minutes before a session.

New payments dashboard: payout schedule, outstanding amounts, account status, all in one place.

January 2026

Pro plan & settings

BillingSettings

Blether Pro launched!

Settings reorganised into tabs: profile, note templates, intake form, subscription. Note template sections are customisable. Intake form preview shows exactly what clients see.

December 2025

AI-assisted clinical notes

AI notesTranscription

The feature Blether was originally built around. Hit record after a session, speak your summary. Blether transcribes it and structures it into a BACP-aligned clinical note: presenting issues, session content, risk assessment, plan.

We went with this over session recording first as we want to remain true to our principles that AI is here to assist, not replace.

Transcription is near-instant. Note generation streams in real time. Everything is editable before approving. It's your record, the AI handles the structure.

November 2025

Automatic reminders & scheduling

RemindersSchedule

24 hours before a session, your client gets a reminder email. Confirmations go out when you book someone in. Reschedule notices when you move things around. All automatic.

Schedule also got drag-and-drop rescheduling. Move a session and the reminder resets automatically.

Got a feature request or something that's bugging you? Drop me an email. I read everything.
